The Lifeline Hospital’s radiology department utilizes advanced imaging techniques like X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds to diagnose and monitor medical conditions. The department is staffed by experienced radiologists and offers a variety of services, including detailed examinations of bones, joints, and internal organs. 

The Lifeline Hospital understands that some patients experience claustrophobia during MRI scans.  We offer several techniques to make the experience more comfortable, including open MRI scanners and sedation options.  Discuss your concerns with your doctor beforehand, who can work with the radiology department to find the best approach for you. 

If you are pregnant and require a radiology exam, informing your doctor and the radiology department is crucial.  Certain imaging techniques, like X-rays, may not be recommended during pregnancy due to radiation exposure.  Alternative imaging options like ultrasounds can be used whenever possible. 

The Lifeline Hospital prioritizes patient safety.  Our radiology department utilizes advanced equipment with minimal radiation doses whenever possible.  The benefit of an accurate diagnosis often outweighs the minimal risks associated with radiation exposure.  Always discuss any concerns you have with your doctor or the radiology staff before the exam. 

The Lifeline Hospital is transitioning towards a patient portal system where you may be able to access your radiology images electronically in the future.  Currently, the most reliable way to access your images is by contacting your doctor’s office for a copy of the report or CD.
