“There is no substitute for Mother’s Milk”.
The Lifeline hospital recommends what world health agencies are recommending. Mothers are advised to start as early as one hour after birth for greater benefits. Exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months and continue even after solid foods are introduced until the age of 1 year. The World Health Organization recommends breastfeeding until 2 years for the good of the baby and the mother.
Our Lactation consultants will guide our mothers on breastfeeding posters and on how to hold the baby while breastfeeding. The Lifeline Hospital’s Lactation Clinic is also dedicated to dealing with all breastfeeding issues like prevention and treatment of cracked or inverted nipples and initiation of complementary feeds.
