Dr. S. Pappachan is a distinguished medical professional with over four decades of dedicated service in healthcare. A postgraduate in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, he is widely respected for his clinical excellence, visionary leadership, and immense contribution to women’s health and reproductive medicine.
Early Career & Public Service
Dr. Pappachan began his medical career in 1985 as an Assistant Surgeon in the Government Health Service, serving in Primary Health Centres, Taluk Hospitals, and District Hospitals. He played a key role in public health programs including school health initiatives and population control drives. He earned statewide recognition for his expertise in vasectomy procedures and conducted numerous laparoscopic surgery camps, performing more than one lakh surgeries.
Journey into Infertility & Advanced Medicine
His work as a gynaecologist gave him deep insight into the emotional and medical struggles of childless couples. This inspired him to specialize in infertility care. He pursued advanced training in India and abroad in infertility management, laparoscopic surgery, gynaecological endoscopy, reproductive medicine, and advanced imaging techniques.
Founder of Lifeline Multispecialty Hospital
In April 2005, Dr. Pappachan founded “Lifeline Super Specialty Hospital” in Adoor. What began as a focused specialty centre grew into a 300-bed multispecialty hospital by the end of 2023. Today, Lifeline is a symbol of quality healthcare, compassionate service, and advanced medical technology.
