Department of Pediatrics offers comprehensive care in all aspects of child health. It is one of the busiest specialties in the hospital with an average of 200 – 300 OPD patients daily. Our aim is to ensure high quality care for children from birth through adolescence. The department is led by highly experienced and skillful specialists and efficient residents.

Emergency Service

Department provides round the clock emergency service with specialists and residents.

DCH Programme

Our department has been successfully running post graduation courses (Diploma in Child Health) since 2022 which has been accredited to National Board of Examination. We have 5 DCH students each year.

OPD Services

General Pediatric OPD

Pediatric OPD Service is provided everyday from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. An average of 200 to 300 children aged between zero to eighteen years are taken care of by pediatricians.
OPD Services include early diagnosis and treatment of all childhood illness, follow up care and care after discharged patients, growth monitoring, developmental assessment, breastfeeding counseling, immunization and nutritional advice. Sick children will be shifted to emergency room for initiating immediate treatment.

Immunization Clinic

Immunization Clinic is open on all days except Sunday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. We stock almost all available vaccines in India.

Well Baby Clinic

Here we ensure comprehensive healthcare to all infants. Services we provide are growth monitoring, screening for developmental delays, immunization, lactational and complementary feeding counseling. Mothers and babies requiring additional help in lactation will be referred to well trained lactation nurse.

Adolescent Clinic

We provide services like assessment of growth and development of adolescence, counseling for adolescent behavioural and emotional problems with the help of pediatric psychologist, adolescent immunization, counseling for parents on adolescent parenting, management of obesity or overweight in adolescence.

Pediatric Asthma Clinic

Diagnosis and treatment of asthma, regular follow up and long term care to children with asthma, addressing all other coexisting allergies and comorbidities in children with asthma.

Inpatient Services

PICU and HDU

• Close Monitoring and treatment of critically ill patients.
• We have the provision of continuous oxygen therapy, HFNC, cardiorespiratory monitoring and ionotropic support.

Diarrhea Ward

Children with diarrheal diseases are admitted in diarrhea treatment unit, assessed for dehydration and provide treatment according to the degree of dehydration. We counsel parents on the importance of rehydration therapy with ORS and to identify the danger signs.

Isolation Room

Children with infectious diseases are isolated and managed in a separate
Hemodynamically stable children are shifted to rooms. We manage all children as per “Indian Academy of Pediatrics” guidelines.
