Subspecialties of Paediatric Surgery

Neonatal surgery –In collaboration with obstetricians and experts in fetal medicine, pediatric surgeons can offer antenatal counseling to parents for particular diseases, such as gastroschisis (a birth defect hole in the abdominal wall) and congenital diaphragmatic hernia. They prepare for the mother and child’s care, from delivery to any necessary surgeries.

Pediatric urology – Hypospadias is one urological disorder that is usually present at birth or in young people.
Pediatric oncology – Cancers that develop in children differ from those that do so in adults. The most significant disease in children is still leukemia

The Division of Paediatric Surgery at Lifeline has 20 beds, including 5 in the intensive care unit and 5 in the Neonatal Unit. Children of all ages, from the unborn child to premature and newborn infants to 12-year-olds, can receive a full range of surgical treatment both in-patiently and out-patiently.

At Lifeline Hospital, we understand that hearing that your child needs surgery may be among the most terrifying things a parent has ever experienced. We recognize that our children need sensitive and particular attention because they are not adults when it comes to surgery. Infants, kids, and teenagers receive excellent, sympathetic, and family-centered treatment from our pediatric surgery team.
