The Lifeline hospital’s department of cardiology was established in June 2019, to provide impeccable cardiac care to our community. Dr. Pappachan took the initiative, along with other Directors, to establish this unit to serve as the best cardiac specialty care in our state. Under the direction of Dr. Thomas Mathew MD (Medicine), DM (Cardio), FACC, FSCAI, FESC, the unit provides cardiologic assistance with the latest medicines and interventional heart disease procedures to patients who are in need. Our primary goal for the community is to prevent cardiac diseases. The Lifeline hospital’s cardiology unit is equipped with cutting-edge facilities including – color doppler, an echocardiography system, ECG, defibrillators, infusion pumps, pressure monitoring systems, and ECG treadmills for the cardiac stress test. The unit is equipped to treat all complicated cardiology cases as well as to support and assist the other branches.
The Lifeline Hospital is running the expansion phase of our cardiology department. The aim is to a full-fledged cardiology unit with an Intensive Coronary Care Unit (ICCU), mobile cardiac unit, most modern catheterization lab, to give services of angiogram and angioplasty with stenting to the needy, pacemaker implantation, and open-heart surgery. We are envisioning a super specialty cardiology wing to deliver superior care with great affordability for our people.
